At ALC Psychology Services we are experienced and offer a professional, confidential, non-judgemental and compassionate service providing psychological assessment and treatment. We believe that every individual is unique and therefore faces life in their own unique way; however we all have the ability to reach our potential, given the right environment, support and guidance. We offer a safe therapeutic space for clients to undertake this journey and move forward with their lives.

Counselling, sometimes referred to as therapy, provides you with the space and time to explore your thoughts, feelings, worries and wishes with another in a safe and trusting environment. Our assessment and therapy services are open to children, adolescents, adults and families.

We work with a range of issues including:

  • Anxiety
  • Attachment
  • Bullying
  • Bereavement
  • Depression
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Experiences (past and present) domestic violence, abuse
  • Identity
  • Low mood
  • Low self-esteem
  • Life transitions
  • Nightmares and sleep difficulties
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Personal development
  • Parenting
  • Post-Natal depression
  • Phobias
  • Relationship issues
  • Sexuality
  • Stress
  • Work related issues

This list is not exhaustive; sometimes the issues in which we are experiencing do not fall into nice and neat categories so please feel free to contact us if you feel that therapy may be of help to you or someone you know.

It is important that you find the right therapist for you and feel comfortable with who you are working with. We offer an initial free consultation where we would sensitively explore the issues or problem, we would then decide if and how we may work together.
